I view the OAuth functionality as one of the bigger innovations to the
PeeringDB platform in recent times. This will allow for a new generation
of tools & services to be build upon PeeringDB data & PeeringDB's
relation with its end users.

Peering Forum meetingtools could hook in a PeeringDB OAuth integration
to make the meetingtool onboarding easier. Networks that are present at
many internet exchanges would benefit from those IXPs offering to login
with a PeeringDB account rather than a IXP-specific account.

Maybe we'll get to the point where we can just hold our cellphones
together and shake, meanwhile via OAuth verification both parties know
that the other person is a representative of the ASN they claim to
represent - and the robots can proceed to set up all peering sessions.

I'm excited about this!

Kind regards,

Job
